Report: Serie A transfer market sees AC Milan dominate the most expensive signings

The summer transfer window in Serie A has closed, having seen a flurry of activity from clubs that bolstered their squads with several notable signings, with AC Milan topping the list of the most expensive deals with two heavyweight transfers.

Gonzalo Ramos, the new striker for AC Milan, has become the most expensive signing in Serie A during the summer transfer window of 2026, after moving from Paris Saint-Germain in a club-record deal worth €74 million, plus bonuses.

AC Milan have not only secured the top spot in the list but have also claimed the second position by signing Diego Moreira from Strasbourg for a fee of €65 million including bonuses if activated.

Randal Kolo Muani comes in third place after moving permanently from Paris Saint-Germain to Juventus for €50 million including bonuses, making it the most significant signing for the Old Lady in terms of value in the summer transfer market.

The list of the most expensive transfers in Serie A also includes Moïse Kean, who moved from ACF Fiorentina to Como for €40 million, including the loan and permanent transfer fee, equal to Jonathan Rowy, who transferred from Bologna to Atalanta for the same amount and under the same terms.

Santiago Castro has come in sixth place after moving from Bologna to AS Roma for €35 million plus bonuses, while Curtis Jones occupies seventh place after his transfer from Liverpool to Inter for €35 million including bonuses.

The following players have joined: Good Spence, who transferred from Tottenham to Inter for €35 million including bonuses, and Karim Adeyemi, who moved from Bayer Leverkusen to Juventus for the same amount. Meanwhile, Trevoh Chalobah completed the list after his transfer from Chelsea to Como for €30 million plus bonuses.

The list does not include players who moved to Serie A clubs on loan with an option or obligation to buy last season, including Rasmus Højlund, who SSC Napoli activated the obligation to buy clause for €44 million, and Luis Openda, who Juventus activated the obligation to buy clause for €42 million.

Como have spent €60 million to acquire the remaining 50% rights of Nico Paz from his former club Real Madrid during the summer transfer window.

Thus, Gonzalo Ramos tops the list of the most expensive transfers in Serie A for the summer of 2026, while AC Milan has established itself at the top of the rankings with its two signings in first and second place, before Randal Kolo Muani comes in third with his Juventus shirt.
