Brighton officially announces signing of Chema Andrés

Brighton have officially signed Spanish midfielder Chema Andrés from VfB Stuttgart on a five-year deal, without disclosing the financial details of the transfer, which is subject to the usual regulatory procedures.

The club explained that Andrés, who is 21 years old, played last season in the Bundesliga after progressing through the youth ranks at Real Madrid.

Mike Kaf, the sporting director of Brighton, said: "We are pleased to welcome Chema to the club, he has an impressive background having progressed through Real Madrid, and he had a very good season with VfB Stuttgart."

He added: "We have been aware of Chema Andrés's potential for some time, and we are pleased to welcome him to the club. We look forward to working with him."

The player joined VfB Stuttgart last summer and featured in 41 matches across all competitions during the 2025/2026 season, contributing to the team's qualification for the UEFA Champions League this season.
