ACF Fiorentina signs Pedro Gonçalves from Sporting

ACF Fiorentina have reached an agreement with Sporting CP to sign winger Pedro Gonçalves in a surprise deal during the final hours of the summer transfer window.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Gonçalves will join ACF Fiorentina on loan for €2.5 million, with an option to buy his contract for €22.5 million, which could become mandatory if specific targets and conditions in the agreement are met.

The Portuguese player's move to ACF Fiorentina comes after years spent with Sporting, where he became one of the team's key attacking elements, before deciding to embark on a new experience in Serie A next season.

The total potential value of the deal amounts to €25 million if the purchase option becomes mandatory, while Gonçalves is set to begin his first adventure in Serie A with ACF Fiorentina.
