Crystal Palace attempt to snatch Malick Vofana deal from Sunderland
Crystal Palace are looking to snatch Belgian winger Malick Vofana from Sunderland, after the latter had earlier reached an agreement with Olympique Lyon for the player's transfer.
Sunderland have agreed a deal with Olympique Lyon worth over €30 million (£25.7 million) including incentives and bonuses, in a transfer that was nearing completion.
According to David Ornstein, Crystal Palace have reached an agreement with Olympique Lyon over the same financial terms in a last-minute attempt to turn the head of the 21-year-old player in the transfer market.
The deal is still not finalized, with Crystal Palace making a strong push in negotiations, while their coach Pierre Sage is working to convince Fofana to move to Selhurst Park instead of Sunderland.
