Crucial Meeting Between Ismaily and Amir Azmi to Decide Coaching Role
The interim committee officials of Ismaily SC are preparing to hold a session with Amir Azmi Magdy to discuss the possibility of him taking over as the head coach of the team in the upcoming period, succeeding Ashraf Khedr.
Ismaily's move comes after a difficult start for the team in the Professional League, where they suffered their second consecutive defeat against Wadi Degla with a score of 2-1, following a loss in the opening round against Masr 3-1.
Ashraf Khidr has submitted his resignation from his position following the defeat against Wadi Degla, after an altercation with some Ismaily fans. The temporary committee has yet to finalize its stance on the resignation.
Amir Azmi is one of the prominent names being considered to take over as coach of Ismaily, alongside Khaled Galal, according to statements from Mohamed Raef, the head of the committee managing the club. Azmi previously led Abu Qir Fertilizers and played a key role in their promotion to the Premier League.
