Chelsea Closing in on Atalanta Defender

Chelsea continues its efforts to strengthen its squad with young talents, having entered advanced negotiations with Atalanta for the signing of Italian defender Honest Ahanor during the current summer transfer window.

Italian media reports have revealed that negotiations between the two clubs have made notable progress in recent hours, with both parties nearing an agreement exceeding €40 million in a new deal that could strengthen the collaboration between Chelsea and Atalanta.

The London club is working to secure the deal for Ahanor, who is 18 years old, making him the second defender from Atalanta to join Chelsea during the current summer transfer window, following Italian Marco Palistra.

Chelsea has reached an agreement with the Italian club to sign Ballestra for €57 million, along with an additional €3 million in incentives, while Atalanta retains 10% of the player's future resale value.
