Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed the reason behind his deletion of a post regarding the transfer of Ukrainian Artem Pundarienko from Shakhtar Donetsk to Al Ahli, denying any pressure from the Saudi club.

Fabrizio Romano clarified during his appearance on "The Platform" program on Eight Channel that he did not receive any call from Al Ahly's management asking him to delete the tweet, emphasizing that the decision to remove it was a personal initiative.

The Italian journalist stated that the mistake was in the transfer fee amount, as his sources provided him with an inaccurate figure, writing €18 million instead of €8 million.

Romano noted that a friend working in football alerted him to an error in the published amount, prompting him to return to his sources to verify the correct value of the deal.

Fabrizio confirmed that rumors regarding him receiving calls or pressure to delete the post are simply untrue, explaining that he deleted the tweet as soon as he discovered the error in the information.

Al Ahly has officially announced the signing of Artem Bondarenko from Shakhtar Donetsk, in a deal that extends until 2029, with a one-season loan and an obligation to buy.

Bondarenko has an impressive record with Shakhtar, having won five titles with the club. He has played 137 matches in the Ukrainian league, scoring 38 goals and providing 24 assists.

The Ukrainian player has participated in 20 matches in the UEFA Champions League, embarking on a new experience with Al Ahly, backed by European experience and a successful career with Shakhtar Donetsk.
