Syrian Federation Treats Palestinian Player as Syrian in Premier League
The Syrian Football Federation has decided to treat Palestinian players as Syrian players regarding registration in the Syrian Premier League. This decision is part of the amendments to the regulations concerning contracts with foreign professional players for the 2026/2027 sports season.
Under the new amendment, Syrian clubs are allowed to contract with no more than four foreign players, while the signing of foreign goalkeepers or their participation in federation competitions is prohibited.
The exception for the Palestinian player allows him to register and participate in the Syrian Premier League according to the approved regulations and rules, without being counted among the foreign player roster.
