Manchester United to Renew Bid for Lewis Hall
Manchester United is preparing to renew its attempts to sign Lewis Hall, the left-back from Newcastle United, before the current summer transfer window closes, despite the difficulty of completing the deal due to high financial demands.
According to "TEAMtalk", Manchester United intends to return to pursue Hull, but the deal may require a payment of around £70 million, a figure that could be steep for the English club. If completed at this amount, the 21-year-old would become the most expensive left-back in football history.
Newcastle United does not seem to be under pressure to reduce their financial demands for Højlund, especially after generating significant revenue from the sales of several players this summer, most notably Anthony Gordon to Barcelona, Sandro Tonali to Tottenham, and Bruno Guimarães to Arsenal.
With the difficulty of justifying the sale of another player financially, Manchester United will need to meet the high asking price set by Newcastle if they wish to finalize the signing of Houl, who is considered one of the club's top targets for the left-back position.
If Manchester United fails to sign Højlund during the current transfer window, the player is expected to remain on their long-term targets list, especially as the club views him as a suitable option to succeed Luke Shaw, given Shaw's advancing age and declining performance.
Meanwhile, Manchester United may decide to move swiftly towards another target if they are unable to sign Haaland. Alejandro Balde, the Barcelona player, is one of the names linked with the club in this position, while Haaland has the advantage of experience in the Premier League.
