Michael Carrick, the manager of Manchester United, confirmed that his team's loss to Hull City by two goals to nil in the opening round of the Premier League will not affect the club's course, emphasizing the need to learn from mistakes and work on improving performance in the upcoming period.

Michael Carrick stated in an interview with "TNT Sports" after the match: "We have some things to improve. It wasn't expected to be a perfect start, but falling behind makes things more difficult."

He added: "Against a promoted team playing at home, we cannot give them too many chances, but they had some opportunities, and that's why we feel disappointed. However, this loss will not affect us."

Regarding the aspects that need improvement, he clarified: "This is something we know, and we will work on improving it during the week. We will continue to develop as a team and become stronger as a group. We have a lot to learn from this match."

Michael Carrick spoke about conceding two goals, stating: "Conceding two goals is frustrating in any case, and they decided the match today. There are things we need to improve. One match doesn’t change everything, nor does it change the direction of the club."

When asked about the possibility of signing Carlos Baleba from Brighton, Manchester United's manager refused to comment on the deal, stating: "I was fully focused on this match today, and for any other player, as long as he is not one of ours, it is not appropriate for me to comment on."
