Tunisian Stadium and Sfaxien Draw; Sfaxia Daïr Starts with a Win
The opening round of the Tunisian Professional League produced mixed results, with the match between Stade Tunisien and CS Sfaxien ending in a positive draw. Meanwhile, the Sporting Club of Sfax secured an early victory against Al Omran, while the clash between Hamam Sousse and US Monastir concluded in a goalless draw.
In the standout match of the round, Tunis Stadium held their visitors Sfaxien to a 1-1 draw, in a game that saw the away team take the lead before the hosts managed to equalize.
Mohamed Trabelsi opened the scoring for Sfaxien in the 36th minute, before Rifaâ Riahi equalized for Tunisian Stadium in the 73rd minute. The match ended without either team able to find a winning goal, with both settling for a single point.
In another match, Tadhamon Sports of Saqiyat al-Dair made a strong start by defeating Al-Omran 2-0.
Saqiyat Al-Dair didn't wait long to open the scoring, as Ziad Al-Alawi found the net in the first minute. Ahmed Al-Omari added a second goal in the fifth minute, allowing the team to maintain their lead until the final whistle and secure their first three points in the tournament.
In a third encounter, the match between Hammam Sousse and Monastir ended in a 0-0 draw, as both teams failed to find the back of the net throughout the match.
With this result, both Hamam Sousse and Monastir secured just one point at the start of their journey in the Ligue Professionnelle 1.
