Belgian manager Philippe Clement of Norwich City held one of the strangest press conferences of the season, spending nearly seven minutes discussing the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology. He even went as far as to list the names of dozens of countries around the world that utilize the technology.

Clement's fury came after the controversy surrounding his team's match against West Bromwich Albion, which saw a disputed goal awarded due to a handball by West Brom striker, Auni Higbee. Despite the goal being given, the player was later punished with a two-match suspension after the incident was deemed to have deceived the match referee.

During his talk with the media, Norwich's coach attempted to clarify the extent of the problem from his perspective, emphasizing that video technology is now used in many countries. He then began to list the countries one by one, a scene that astonished journalists and went viral on social media.

Clement pointed out that the absence of technology in the EFL Championship is difficult to understand, especially since VAR is used in the playoff rounds qualifying for the Premier League, believing that the presence of technology would have prevented such refereeing errors.

The unusual press conference turned into a source of humor and discussion among English football fans, as Clement became the talk of the media due to his strange way of delivering his message, rather than the controversy surrounding the disputed goal.
