Hans Flick, the head coach of Barcelona, spoke after his team's 2-1 victory over Al Ahly in the Joan Gamper Trophy, confirming that the club continues to search for a central striker to complete the squad before the transfer window closes.

Flick stated: "We are looking for this player, and Deco is doing a great job." He also praised the signing of Rodri, confirming that the Spanish midfielder can provide a significant boost to the team.

Barcelona's coach commented on Rodri: "He proved in the World Cup that he was one of the best players, providing structure to the team, organizing play well, and determining whether to play at a faster or slower pace. He is a leader."

Flick spoke about Hamza Abdul Karim, Barcelona's top scorer in the preseason with four goals, praising his attacking abilities. He said: "Hamza is a good striker, we can see that when he attacks crosses. I saw him today holding onto the ball, and that's good. That's what I want to see from him."

Hansi Flick pointed out the challenges of preparing for the new season due to the arrival of players who participated in the World Cup last week, explaining: "It won't be easy; many players arrived last week, and we have to manage their playing minutes."

Barcelona's head coach concluded his remarks by focusing on the upcoming match against Elche in the opening round of the league, stating: "We have the quality and a great team, and we need to manage it as we head straight into the start of the season. On Sunday, there is no alternative but to win against Elche. They are playing well, but we must be ready. I liked the team today, and we have the potential to improve."
