Official: Real Madrid Announces Player Departure to Strasbourg
Real Madrid has officially reached an agreement with French club Strasbourg regarding the transfer of young player Jacobo Ortega, who has signed a contract until 2031 with the French side.
Ortega joined Real Madrid in 2018 when he was just 12 years old, spending eight seasons in the club's academy, progressing through the youth teams and continuing his development to become one of the standout talents in the youth sector.
In the 2025-2026 season, Ortega celebrated with the Real Madrid youth team by winning the UEFA Youth League, concluding his time at the club with a European title.
Real Madrid confirmed in a statement that the club will remain a home for the player, expressing gratitude to Jacob Ortega for his effort and dedication throughout the years he spent within the club's walls.
Real Madrid concluded its statement by wishing the player and his family good luck and success in the new phase of his career with Strasbourg.
According to several media reports, the club received €10 million for selling 70% of the player's rights, noting that the young forward has not played a single minute with the first team.
