Official: Al Ahly Signs Tawfiq Mohammed for 5 Seasons

Al Ahly has officially announced the signing of left-back Tawfiq Mohamed from Petrojet, with a contract that extends for five seasons, making him the latest addition to the team during the current summer transfer window.

The signing of Tawfiq Mohammed comes as a response to the absence of Moroccan Youssef Belaïli, who suffered a torn ACL injury. This prompted Al Ahly's management to act swiftly to strengthen the left-back position ahead of the new season.

Mohamed Tawfik is 26 years old and joined Petrojet four seasons ago. He has played 55 matches with the team across various competitions, providing two assists during that time.

According to reports, the base value of the deal reached 32 million Egyptian pounds, with additional incentives of up to 10 million pounds, alongside Petrojet retaining 15% of any future sale of the player.
