Di Maria Supports Messi with Heartfelt Message After Father's Death

Argentinian Angel Di Maria took the time to send a message of support and solidarity to his compatriot Lionel Messi and his family, following the passing of Messi's father, Jorge Messi, at the age of 68.

Di Maria commented after his team Rosario Central's draw with Corinthians: "He has all our hugs, just like everyone here today. All our love and strength to him and his family."

He added: "I sent him a message, and of course, he didn't reply, but he definitely received it. We are with him, and we hope he has the strength to continue on his path. He has a very beautiful family, and they will certainly help him a lot."

Di Maria's message comes during a difficult period for Messi and his family following the passing of his father, who was not only his agent but also one of his biggest supporters throughout his football career.
