Chelsea Raises Badiashile Price as Napoli Nears Deal

Chelsea has raised its financial demands to part ways with French defender Benoît Badiashile, but Napoli is still confident of finalizing the transfer, as he has become a priority for coach Massimiliano Allegri.

According to "Il Napolista," citing "La Gazzetta dello Sport," the two clubs have reached a preliminary agreement to loan Badiashile for €3 million, but the disagreement lies in the purchase option.

Chelsea initially requested an obligation to buy for €15 million, before converting it into an option to buy and raising the value to between €18 and €20 million, while Napoli is working to reduce the amount, with a limited gap between the two parties.

The player's stance is beneficial for Napoli, as he has shown a desire to move to the Italian club and rejected an offer from a Premier League team.

Napoli's move to strengthen its defense comes in light of Bonjiorno's injury, alongside Sam Boakye's struggle with an Achilles tendon issue, and Luca Marianucci suffering a ligament tear in his knee.
