Deportivo La Coruña Fans Call for Boycott of Real Madrid Match

Deportivo La Coruña's supporters' association, along with the Old Fans and Riazor Blues groups, has urged fans to refrain from attending the Riazor Stadium tomorrow, Wednesday, during the match against Real Madrid in the Teresa Herrera Cup.

Supporter groups have stated that the boycott is in protest against the conditions imposed by Deportivo on season ticket holders in the lower tier of the Marathon area, which they described as discriminatory and arbitrary.

According to "Mundo Deportivo," the aim of the protest is to pressure the club's management to find a solution, after fan groups felt that the administration has become increasingly detached from the essence of the club and its supporters.

Supporter groups have called on all Deportivo fans to support the protest, urging season ticket holders not to make their seats available. They clarified that the friendly match does not count towards the minimum number of mandatory matches required for season ticket renewal.

Protest organizers have confirmed their determination to continue their movements and defend a fair and respectful model for the club towards its fans, amid disagreements over season ticket conditions.

The fan groups concluded their statement by saying: "We call on all Deportivo fans to continue the protests and not to give up on defending a fair and respectful model for the club and its supporters, and for Riazor to reflect what it has always been, not a soulless commercial front."
