Forlán Opens Door for Suárez's Return to Uruguay National Team
Diego Forlán, the head coach of the Uruguay national team, has opened the door for the possibility of veteran striker Luis Suárez returning to the ranks of "La Celeste," despite his retirement from international play.
During his presentation as the new coach of the national team, Forlán praised his personal relationship with Suárez, confirming that the Inter Miami striker is still legally available to represent Uruguay.
Forlán stated: "I have great affection for Luis, and he is available for selection; he is Uruguayan. Having Luis with his experience and goals is important, and he proves that every weekend. No one can doubt Luis's value."
The new coach stated: "I didn't know he said he was ready to come back, and I haven't seen that. Since we are Uruguayans, all players are available for selection."
Luis Suarez has shown his readiness to return to the national team, making the possibility of wearing the Uruguay jersey again likely under the guidance of his former teammate Forlan.
