Leganés Signs Zidane

Spanish club Leganés has announced that they have reached an official agreement to sign goalkeeper Luka Zidane on a one-year contract, with an option to extend for an additional season, following the end of his two-year stint with Granada.

Luca Zidane is 28 years old and started his football career at the Real Madrid academy, making his first-team debut in May 2018 during a match against Villarreal in La Liga. He then had a loan spell with Racing before moving to Rayo Vallecano, where he helped the team gain promotion to the top division and participated in La Liga.

In the summer of 2022, the goalkeeper joined Eibar, establishing himself as one of the team's key players, before moving to Granada where he spent the last two seasons, delivering impressive performances in the Spanish Segunda División.

On the international stage, Luca Zidane represented France at various youth levels before opting to play for the Algerian national team. He recently participated in the Africa Cup of Nations and played in all group stage matches with the "Desert Warriors."

Luca Zidane arrives at Leganés with nearly 200 official matches under his belt in his professional career. He is known for his technical abilities, quick reflexes, and footwork, and will join the team's training immediately. He is set to be officially presented to the media on August 12.
