The German club Leipzig announced on its official website the signing of young Ivorian winger Yan Diomand from Spanish club Leganés, with a contract extending until June 30, 2030, and he will wear the number 49 jersey with the team.

Diomand, who is 18 years old, shone in the American youth league by becoming the tournament's top scorer and the best player in the finals, before moving to Leganés in January 2025, where he made notable appearances in La Liga, having played 10 matches, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist, and he made his debut against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

Marcel Schaefer, the sports director of Leipzig, commented: "Yan is an exceptional young talent characterized by speed, skill, and a goal-scoring instinct, and he plays with great team spirit. We are happy to have him join us, and we will give him the necessary time to adapt and grow step by step."
