Barcelona secured a tough and important victory against host Leganés (1-0) in the 31st round of La Liga, at the Butarque Stadium.

Barcelona raised its points to 70 at the top of the table, temporarily 7 points ahead of Real Madrid, while Leganés remained at 28 points in the nineteenth place.

The first half of the match was not good for Barcelona, which did not deliver the expected performance and failed to create real chances on Leganés' goal, while Leganés wasted several clear opportunities to score.

At the beginning of the second half, Barcelona took the lead with an own goal from Jorge Sainz after a cross from the left side by Rafinha, which Sainz deflected into his own net in the 48th minute.

Leganés scored a goal but it was disallowed for offside, while they nearly equalized as a shot from a Leganés player went just past the post. Then, a Leganés defender almost caused a second own goal for his team, but the ball went past the post.
