Duhok FC is grappling with a severe financial crisis, prompting the management to close the club's doors and inform all employees not to report for work until further notice. According to media sources, the difficult financial situation forced the management to take this step at a time when the team was working on strengthening its squad for the new season of the Iraqi Premier League. Despite the circumstances, Duhok successfully completed several signings during the current summer transfer window. The club signed three Iranian players and added Syrian star Mahmoud Mawas from Al-Shorta. The club's management also attempted to sign Iraqi national team star Ali Jassim, but negotiations did not conclude, and the player has yet to finalize his destination.
