Sheikh Ibrahim Al Lami urges Al Zawraa players before the upcoming Duhok clash

Al Zawraa's honorary president, Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Lami, met with the coaching staff and players during the team's final training session held this evening at Al Zawraa Stadium in the capital Baghdad, before departing tomorrow to Duhok to face the home side on Thursday, as part of the ninth round of the Iraq Stars League.

Al Lami urged the players during his speech to double their efforts and continue working with high focus and seriousness during the upcoming phase, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the positive results the team achieved before the international break, and to remain in top readiness, not allowing the break to negatively affect the team's technical and physical level, which would enhance their ability to continue collecting points and achieving positive results while staying in the competition for the title.

Al Zawraa will travel to Duhok tomorrow morning in preparation for their match against the tough Duhok club in the ninth round of the Iraq Stars League.

This match is considered one of the toughest in the league, with Al Zawraa visiting Duhok International Stadium, which is known to be one of the most challenging venues in Iraq due to the factors of home advantage, the crowd, and the cold weather in the north. Additionally, Duhok has shown great strength at home this season.

Al Zawraa are enjoying a strong resurgence this season, as the team is delivering impressive performances and positive results that have them competing fiercely for a top-four finish. The coaching staff, led by their manager Basim Qasim, hopes to return with three points from Duhok to confirm the real return of the swans to the competition.

Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Lami promised players generous bonuses for winning this tough round. He also confirmed that the management will provide all means of support and comfort for the team during their stay in Duhok, pointing out that the Al Zawraa fans are expecting a lot from this generation to bring the league title back to the white castle after a long absence.
