Fabregas: We are not looking for excuses, Como's win over Venezia is of exceptional value

Cesc Fàbregas, the head coach of Como, expressed his happiness at the victory his team achieved over Venezia with a goal to nil, in the 10th round of Serie A, confirming that the win carries great importance given the circumstances the team is going through and the number of matches.

Cesc Fàbregas said after the match: "This is a match of great value, nothing is easy in football, and it was essential to achieve victory today. We did not give Venezia many chances, and they only had one shot on target in the 94th minute."

The Spanish coach spoke about the pressure of matches and absences, explaining: "The players are not used to playing this number of consecutive matches, as we are hardly training, but we must continue to work with the same mentality. We do not want to look for excuses due to absences, but rather seek additional solutions, and of course, I wish I had more options."

Fabregas concluded his remarks by praising the mentality of his players, saying: "I like the determination and courage to play in our style. Nico Paz was extremely fatigued, and Ricky suffered from muscle cramps, but everyone is trying to deliver what we want on the pitch. We know who we are and we want to become a better team every week."

With this victory, Como have achieved their fourth consecutive win in Serie A, raising their tally to 23 points and continuing their presence in the upper echelons of the table.
