Official: Laviina Signs Abdullah Gomaa

Lavinia, competing in the Egyptian Second Division "Professional League", has announced the signing of former Zamalek left-back Abdullah Gomaa during the ongoing summer transfer window, in a free transfer.

Laviina Club announced on its official Facebook page: "The football committee of Laviina, headed by Mahmoud El-Asyouti, has successfully signed Abdullah Gomaa, the former left-back of Zamalek and the Egyptian national team, on a free transfer."

Abdullah Gomaa excelled as one of the key pillars of Zamalek, especially in the 2018-2019 season under Swiss coach Christian Gross. The player significantly contributed to the White Knight's triumph in several domestic and continental tournaments, including the Egyptian Premier League, the CAF Confederation Cup, the African Super Cup, as well as the Egyptian Super Cup.

Lavinia is strongly looking to claim the top spot in the new season of the Professional League, with their sights set on securing direct qualification and a historic rise to the Egyptian Premier League.
