FIFA Threatens Russian Clubs with Player Registration Ban
Russian clubs are at risk of facing a ban that would prevent them from registering new players, following sanctions imposed by FIFA on Akhmat Grozny.
The crisis stems from the FIFA clearing house system, established by the international federation in France to manage the payment of solidarity contributions and training compensation between clubs. These procedures are now being executed through this system.
Russian clubs are currently unable to open the required bank accounts in France to deal with the clearing house, due to the restrictions and sanctions imposed on them, which hinders their ability to complete the necessary payments.
According to reports, the issue may affect all Russian clubs, not just Akhmat Grozny, as these clubs could face a ban on registering new players if a solution to this obstacle is not reached.
