Club Africain Appoints Maher Kanzari as New Coach

Club Africain announced today, Tuesday, July 21, the official signing of Tunisian coach Maher Kanzari to take over the managerial role of the first team, succeeding Fawzi Benzarti, who concluded his journey with the club and is set to embark on a new experience in the Libyan league.

The club has confirmed that Kenzari will officially start his duties on Monday, July 27, 2026, in preparation to lead the team during the upcoming season.

Kenzari arrives at Club Africain after a successful stint with Esperance, where he managed the team from the beginning of 2025 until February 2026, achieving three titles, including the Tunisian League, the Tunisian Cup, and the Super Cup.

This change comes at the top of the coaching staff following the departure of Fawzi Benzarti, who led Club Africain to win the Tunisian league title for the 2025-2026 season, before agreeing to coach Al-Ittihad of Libya.

The Libyan Football Federation has reached an agreement with Benzeriti to take charge of the team on a one-year contract, which includes a total salary of $1.2 million, comprising a monthly wage of $90,000, along with various incentives and other benefits.
