Libyan Union Signs Tunisian Coach Faouzi Benzarti

Libyan club Al Ittihad has finalized its coaching staff, officially announcing the signing of experienced Tunisian coach Fawzi Benzarti through its official Facebook page. Benzarti will take charge of the team for the upcoming phase.

With the announcement of the transfer, the curtain falls on Benzerti's journey with Club Africain, which he led to win the Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1 title last season. He also oversaw the team's preparations for the new season before deciding to embark on a new experience in the Libyan league.

Born in 1950, Benzerti is one of the most prominent coaches in the history of Tunisian football. He has managed the Tunisian national team on several occasions, alongside a successful career with various clubs, during which he has won numerous domestic and continental titles.

His most notable achievements outside Tunisia include what he accomplished on Moroccan soil, when he led Raja Casablanca to the final of the Club World Cup in 2013, marking a historic achievement for the Moroccan club.
