Issa Diop Set to Join Ipswich Town After Final Agreement with Fulham
Moroccan international Issa Diop is close to embarking on a new journey in the Premier League, as Fulham and Ipswich Town have reached a final agreement for the defender's transfer during the ongoing summer transfer window.
According to French media reports, Diop has given his approval on all terms of the contract that will link him to Ipswich Town for four seasons, with only a medical examination remaining before the official announcement of the deal.
Reports suggest that the Moroccan defender's transfer fee will be around €10 million, bringing an end to his journey with Fulham, where he joined in the summer of 2022, despite having an additional season left on his contract with the London club.
Ipswich Town is counting on the vast experience gained by Diop in English football, having played 173 matches in the Premier League for West Ham United and Fulham, along with participating in 13 league matches last season. This makes him one of the key reinforcements expected for the team's defense ahead of the new season.
