Barcelona Sets Condition for Koundé Sale, Bayern Munich Far from Meeting Demands
Barcelona is open to the idea of selling French defender Jules Koundé during the summer transfer window, but they will only agree to his departure if they receive an offer that matches his market value, amid ongoing interest from Bayern Munich in signing him.
Spanish newspaper "Sport" reported that the Catalan club does not consider Koundé an untouchable player, but at the same time, they are holding firm on his financial valuation, believing he remains one of the best right-backs in the world.
The source confirmed that Barcelona is prepared to study any suitable offer, clarifying that the value they see as reasonable for selling the player ranges between €50 and €60 million.
The report added that Bayern Munich's interest is still in the probing stage, as available information indicates that the German club will not pay more than €40 million, an amount that Barcelona considers far below Koundé's value. Therefore, no official negotiations have been opened between the two parties so far.
Should the future of the French international change, Spanish full-back Pedro Porro has emerged as one of the options being considered to replace him, having caught the eye with his performances for Tottenham and the Spanish national team during the World Cup.
Despite Barcelona's admiration for Boro's potential, Sport reports that signing him will be a complex task, especially after he renewed his contract with Tottenham. Additionally, his rising market value and the financial competition from English clubs make the pursuit even more challenging.
