Xavi Clarifies His Preference for Next Step

Xavi Hernandez has revealed his desire to take on a national team coaching role in the near future, stating that this option suits his personal circumstances and ambitions as a coach.

Xavi stated: "My next step could be with a national team. This suits me and I want that."

The former Barcelona coach stated: "I have a family. Working with a club won't give me the same time I want with my family; I have young children."

Xavi continued his discussion about his international ambitions, stating: "I am excited to participate as a coach in the World Cup, or the European Championship, or the Africa Cup of Nations, or the Asian Cup...".

Xavi has been away from coaching since his departure from Barcelona at the end of the 2023-2024 season, and it seems that managing a national team has become an attractive option for him in the near future.
