Details of Eastern Club's Merger with ENPPI Ahead of New Season
Hamdi Marzouk, president of Eastern Club, has unveiled details of the plan to merge the first football team with ENPPI. The new entity is set to compete in the upcoming season of the Premier League under the name "ENPPI Eastern."
In radio statements, the president of Eastern Club said: "The merger with ENPPI is a significant step in supporting popular clubs, and the people of Eastern are happy to be in the Egyptian Premier League. We are pleased with the financial support for Eastern Club and welcome all opinions on this matter."
Regarding some details stemming from the decision to merge Enppi and Eastern Team, Marzouk added: "Matches between Al Ahly and Zamalek against the Enppi Eastern Team will be played at Zagazig University Stadium starting from next season, which will be the venue for the team's matches from the start of the new football season."
Enppi is conducting a study on players in the first team at Eastern Club, and will explore the possibility of benefiting from some while potentially loaning others out. Enppi aims to have a significant number of standout players in their squad.
The president of Eastern Club stated: "The partnership stipulates that ENPPI will hold 51%, while Eastern Club will hold 49%. ENPPI will have the authority to make decisions regarding the first football team."
The president of Eastern Club concluded his statements by saying: "The standout players in the Eastern team will join Enppi training next Saturday, and we have not yet decided the fate of the other players, but we will select the standout elements to continue with the Eastern Enppi team in the new season."
