Pyramids FC complains about referee in El Sharkia Enppi FC match
Pyramids FC have officially lodged a complaint against Ibrahim Mohammed, the referee of the match between El Sharkia Enppi FC that took place last Thursday in the fifth round of the Premier League, which ended with the sky blues winning by a score of 2-1.
Pyramids FC stated in their announcement: The club has submitted an official complaint to the Football Association against referee Ibrahim Mohammed, who officiated the team's match against El Sharkia Enppi FC in the league due to the serious errors he made against the club and his poor decisions, which nearly spoiled the match and could have caused the team to lose important points in their pursuit of the league title.
He explained: The club's complaint highlighted the referee's and his assistants' mistakes, which included incorrect decisions and numerous bookings without any reason, as well as the assistant referee's attempts to ruin the opportunity for the second goal by violating the rules and raising the offside flag without waiting for the attack to complete.
He added: The club also emphasized in its statement that the referee awarded a handball for a clear chance on goal against Ali Youssif, despite the fact that the ball hit his head, and the assistant referee was close to the play and did not signal any foul, nor did he give the player a chance to continue playing and score a certain goal before reviewing VAR.
The referee ignored a clear penalty for Pyramids FC, as the incident was right in front of him. There was a clear handball outside the body inside the penalty area, but it was not awarded. Strangely, the VAR referee confirmed the decision despite the clarity of the incident.
The referee awarded a foul and a yellow card against Walid El Karti despite the player having cleared the ball, which was clear. The player was punished with an incorrect card, and therefore we request the cancellation of that card due to its invalidity.
The club concluded by requesting that the Football Association and the Referees Committee consider that Pyramids FC has been at the top of the league table since the start of the tournament. According to the principles of fairness and equality in competition, the club deserves to have its matches officiated by elite referees from the international list, just like the other direct competitors for the title.
