Eriksen Continues Recovery Journey in Denmark After New Health Scare

Denmark international Christian Eriksen is continuing his recovery in his home country after experiencing a new health scare last month during a friendly match between Denmark and Ukraine on June 7.

Eriksen collapsed on the pitch after feeling chest pains, nearly five years after suffering a cardiac arrest during the UEFA Euro 2020, which required urgent medical intervention to save his life.

The implantable defibrillator, which was placed in Eriksen in 2021, intervened and delivered a shock that helped restore his heart rhythm before the player underwent tests and treatment in the hospital.

Following the incident, Eriksen confirmed he feels well, stating that this situation is different from 2021, although his future in football remains uncertain since then.

Meanwhile, German club Wolfsburg announced that the player will soon begin an individual rehabilitation program after missing the start of preparations for the new season, with his contract with the team continuing until next summer.
