Como Closing in on Chelsea's Chalobah Deal
The competition between Como and Inter Milan for English defender Trevoh Chalobah has intensified during the summer transfer window, as Como is reportedly close to improving their financial offer to meet Chelsea's demands, while Inter continues to await developments in the negotiations.
According to 'Football Italia', the rivalry between Como and Inter this summer has extended to several targets in the transfer market, with Chalobah being a top priority for both clubs.
The report, citing 'Sky Sport Italia', stated that Como initially made an offer of €25 million, plus €2 million in incentives, before raising it to €28 million with the same incentives. However, Chelsea rejected both offers, insisting on receiving €30 million, along with an additional €5 million in incentives.
The report confirmed that Como is preparing to make a new offer that could reach Chelsea's asking price, potentially paving the way for the deal to be completed.
Meanwhile, Inter remains the favorite to sign Chalobah, although Italian media reports indicate that they have yet to submit an official offer to Chelsea.
It appears that Inter is currently focused on convincing the player to agree to a move before starting official negotiations with Chelsea's management, while Como aims to finalize the deal quickly by meeting the financial demands of the English club.
