AC Milan continues to seek reinforcements for their defensive line during the summer transfer window, with Portuguese defender Gonçalo Inácio, a player from Sporting Lisbon, being one of the most prominent names on the Italian club's table to strengthen their backline.

According to the Portuguese newspaper Record, AC Milan has made initial contacts to explore the possibility of signing Inácio, who has attracted interest from several major European clubs following his impressive performances with Sporting and the Portuguese national team.

On the other hand, Sporting Lisbon does not intend to easily part with its defender, as the club expects to achieve significant capital gains from any potential deal. This is based on the player's contract, which extends until 2030 and includes a release clause valued at 60 million euros.

Despite Milan's interest, the negotiations are still in their early stages, while Sporting is watching the developments in the transfer market, hoping to receive a substantial offer that matches the technical and market value of one of its most prominent young defenders.
