Jamal Al-Salami, the head coach of the Jordanian national team, confirmed that "Al-Nashama" are looking forward to delivering a performance worthy of the occasion when they face the Argentine national team on Sunday, in the conclusion of their historic first participation in the 2026 World Cup finals.

Al-Salami said: "We aspire to deliver a match worthy of the event when we face the Argentine team on Sunday, in the conclusion of our historic first participation in the World Cup finals."

He added: "The first participation in the World Cup is a source of pride for Jordanian football, and we have gained a lot from this experience. What has been achieved will positively reflect on the future of Jordanian football and the coming generations."

He continued: "We will face the world champion and one of the top contenders for the title. The Argentine team has a large group of outstanding players, regardless of the lineup that will play the match."
