Burkina Faso call up U23 players to avoid match cancellation against Argentina

Burkina Faso have taken steps to avoid the cancellation of their friendly match against Argentina by calling up several players from the Under-23 team to compensate for the departure of a number of first-team players.

According to journalist Romain Molina, Burkina Faso's delegation is scheduled to arrive in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires at around 1:15 PM local time, after a flight lasting nearly 12 hours.

Burkina Faso are set to face Argentina early on Sunday, meaning the players will play the match shortly after arriving in Argentina.

Data suggests that fatigue may be a strong presence, especially given the long journey and the short time between the arrival of the delegation and the match kickoff, which could pose a significant physical challenge for Burkina Faso players.

These developments come amid Burkina Faso's desire to ensure the match takes place and to avoid a scenario of cancellation.
