Al-Faisaly Secures Coach's Stay for the New Season
Al-Faisaly Club is close to finalizing the continuation of Italian coach Giovanni Solinas, following successful negotiations that ended with a preliminary agreement to renew his contract for an additional season, according to informed sources.
Solinas successfully led the team last season and contributed to Al-Faisaly's return to the Saudi Professional League, before hinting earlier that he did not wish to continue.
However, the club management was able to convince him to reverse his decision, agreeing to continue with the first football team for one more season.
The Italian coach, in coordination with the technical committee, will oversee the summer recruitment file and select suitable local and foreign players to strengthen the team.
Solinas will also set up the training camp plan for the next season, which is scheduled to be held in Slovenia, including the full schedule for friendly matches and the preparation period.
In a related context, Al-Faisaly management has renewed the contracts of several players, most notably Mohammed Jahfali and Mohammed Al-Fuhaid, in addition to goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Hassawi.
The club also strengthened its ranks by signing defender Fawaz Rabee, coming from Al-Orouba, in the team's first deal for the new season, as part of a comprehensive reinforcement plan in preparation for upcoming challenges.
