Officially: Neom Announces Departure of Ahmed Hegazi

Neom Club officially announced the end of the journey of Egyptian defender Ahmed Hegazi with the team, closing a chapter that spanned two seasons and witnessed many significant milestones and important successes.

The club posted a video of the Egyptian star on its official account on the "X" platform, accompanied by a message of appreciation and gratitude for his contributions during his time with the team.

Hegazy's departure came after a significant contribution to the sports project of the Neom Club, where he was one of the key elements relied upon by the coaching staff in past seasons.

The Egyptian defender joined Neom in the summer of 2024, coming from Al-Ittihad, benefiting from his extensive experience gained in Saudi and international fields.

Hegazy played a prominent role in the team's journey towards achieving the goal of promotion to the Saudi Professional League, leaving a clear mark within the club during his time there.

In terms of numbers, the player participated in 52 matches across various competitions, managing to score one goal and assist another for his teammates.

Neom concluded its first season in the Saudi Roshn League 2025-2026 in eighth place under the leadership of French coach Christophe Galtier, having collected 45 points from 34 matches.

The team achieved 12 victories and 9 draws, against 13 losses during the season, reflecting the club's ability to establish itself among the professional league clubs.
