The Saudi team started the match well, with Masouras scoring after 15 minutes. However, Nyom was forced to make an early substitution in the 31st minute, with Faisal Al-Ghamdi coming on for Valentin Vada due to injury.

Just before the end of the first half, Duisburg brought the home side back into the game by scoring the equalizer from a penalty in the 42nd minute, ending the first half with both teams tied at one goal each.

With the start of the second half, Al-Mu'tasim Al-Muqbali succeeded in giving Al Shabab the lead in the 55th minute, changing the dynamics of the match and putting Neom in a position where they needed to quickly return to the score.

Neom made two substitutions in the 59th minute, bringing on Abdulmalek Al-Aiyari and Abdulaziz Al-Othman for Abbas Al-Hassan and Muhannad Al-Saad. However, Al Shabab caught them off guard with a third goal just one minute later, through Dosburg, who completed his brace.

With this victory, Al Shabab have secured their first three points in the tournament, placing them third in the group, while Neom remain on three points in second place, ahead on goal difference against their Omani rivals. Meanwhile, Al-Duhail SC top the group with three points.
