Inter Milan Puts Palestra at the Top of Its Priorities

Press reports in Italy confirm that Inter Milan is targeting the signing of Italian international Marco Balestra during the summer transfer window, with the management ready for a strong investment to secure his acquisition.

The newspaper "La Gazzetta dello Sport" reported that the 21-year-old player stood out during the 2025/2026 season with Cagliari on loan from Atalanta, which gave him the opportunity to appear with the Italian national team and made him a target for major clubs.

Atalanta is demanding an amount between 40 and 50 million euros to let him go, while Inter is preparing to make a substantial offer to finalize the deal, despite its high cost compared to the club's previous spending record.

Balestra is supported by coach Cristian Chivu, given the possibility of some right-wing players leaving this summer, making his acquisition a priority for the club.
