Paris Saint-Germain is nearing breaking the record for the most goals scored in a single season of the UEFA Champions League, a record held by Barcelona in the 1999/2000 season with 45 goals, during the 2025/2026 edition.

According to information available on the official website of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), Paris leads the current edition's scoring chart with 44 goals, with a chance to increase its tally in the final match after reaching the tournament final.

The official UEFA website also noted that this season saw Bayern Munich surpass the 40-goal mark with 43 goals before being eliminated, marking the first time in the competition's history that two different teams have surpassed 40 goals in a single edition.

The tournament's records highlight the top teams with the most goals in a single UEFA Champions League season, with Barcelona leading the historical list in the 1999/2000 season with 45 goals, followed by Bayern Munich in the 2019/2020 season with 43 goals, the same tally as Barcelona in the 2024/2025 season, and then Bayern Munich again in the 2025/2026 season with 43 goals.

In the following position came Real Madrid in the 2013/2014 season with 41 goals, then Liverpool in the 2017/2018 season with 41 goals as well, among the list of clubs that have surpassed the 40-goal mark in a single edition of the tournament.
