English press reports have revealed a significant crisis within the ranks of West Ham United, which has officially been relegated. The protagonists of this crisis are French defender Jean-Clair Todibo and Portuguese coach Nuno Espírito Santo, following the team's defeat to Newcastle United in the last Premier League round.

According to journalist Roshan Thomas, Nuno decided to substitute Todibo early in the match, specifically in the 25th minute, by bringing on striker Taty Castellanos in his place, a decision that greatly angered the French player.
