The Future of Kessi Heats Up Between Al Ahly and Roma

The future of Ivorian Franck Kessié has entered a critical phase with Al-Ahly, as negotiations between the two parties continue regarding the renewal of his contract, amidst increasing European interest in acquiring his services next summer.

According to reports, Kessie currently earns an annual salary of up to 12 million euros with Al Ahly, while the player's agent has expressed willingness to reduce the salary in order to reach a new three-year agreement.

On the other hand, Al Ahly has offered a contract renewal for only two seasons so far, which has kept the negotiations open without reaching a final agreement on the player's continuation with the team for the upcoming season.

The reports also revealed that Roma has entered the fray with an official offer granting the player a salary estimated at 4.5 million euros annually, in an attempt to bring him back to the Italian league after his previous experience with Milan.

It seems that Kessie has not yet made his final decision, especially as he wishes to consider all available options before making his last choice, whether to continue with Al-Ahly or return to European football.

The Ivorian star is considered one of the most important elements of Al-Ahli since joining from Barcelona in the summer of 2023, playing a prominent role in the team's domestic and continental successes, which makes his continued presence a high priority for the Saudi club.
