Mourinho Reaches Agreement with Real Madrid
Real Madrid Club has reached an agreement with the veteran Portuguese coach José Mourinho, the current manager of Benfica, to take charge of the team in the next season, according to journalist 'Sacha Tavolieri' on his official account on the 'X' platform.
Tavolieri explained that an official statement is expected to be issued next week to announce the appointment of José Mourinho as the manager of Real Madrid.
Mourinho is one of the well-known names within the royal club, as he previously coached Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013, during which he won the Spanish League title in the 2011/2012 season, the Spanish Cup in the 2010/2011 season, and the Spanish Super Cup in the 2012/2013 season.
The report indicated that the 63-year-old Portuguese coach had previously spoken about the possibility of returning to coach Real Madrid, confirming that he is waiting for the end of his season with Benfica before taking a break and deciding his future.
This development comes as Real Madrid seeks to rearrange its situation after a season in which it did not achieve any local or continental titles, in addition to losing the opportunity to win the Spanish League title after a 2-0 defeat against Barcelona in the top match of round 35.
Real Madrid had relied on Álvaro Arbeloa to lead the team temporarily after dismissing coach Xabi Alonso following the loss in the Spanish Super Cup final against Barcelona.
