USM Alger will enjoy significant fan support during their hosting of Zamalek Club, next Saturday evening, in the first leg of the African Confederation Cup final, after the Algerian Ministry of Sports gave the green light to reopen the upper stands of the '5 July 1962' Stadium, following the completion of renovation works.

According to Algerian press reports, around 50,000 tickets are set to be offered starting Thursday via the 'Tazkarti' platform, amid wide public interest and great anticipation for the awaited clash, which is considered one of the season's highlights for both teams.

The upper stands of the stadium underwent development works that included updating the seats and enhancing security barriers, as part of improving safety standards, especially following the incident that occurred during last season's competitions, which resulted in the fall of several fans.

USM Alger enters the match with great ambitions to achieve a positive result at home, benefiting from the anticipated fan support, to facilitate their task before the decisive return leg in Cairo.

Conversely, Zamalek aims to achieve a positive result away from home, relying on their continental experience, having previously won the title twice, which gives them a relative advantage in handling such encounters.

The first leg match between USM Alger and Zamalek is expected to take place at the 5 July Stadium on Saturday, May 9, at 10 p.m. Cairo time, amid anticipated enthusiastic atmospheres between the two sides.
