Enppi President: Al Ahly Has Not Recently Discussed Signing Players with Me
Ayman El-Sherei, the president of Enppi Club, confirmed that Al Ahly has not recently spoken with him about signing players from the petroleum team.
Al-Sherei said in statements on "MBC Egypt" channel: "Exporting players? Football is entertainment, but you must profit from it... Who said that entertainment leads to loss?"
Regarding the decision not to sell Mostafa Sheshek, the former Enppi player and currently with Al-Ahly Tripoli, to Al-Ahly, Al-Sharie stated: "The evaluations of Al-Ahly's management in that deal do not align with the true value of my investments in the player."
He added: "Shikshik cannot be valued at 25 million pounds, while at the same time we see that Al Ahly signs Amr El-Gazzar for 60 million pounds."
He continued: "No official from Al Ahly has spoken to me regarding this deal, and communication has only been through intermediaries. There are certain evaluations in the deals file, and we need to monitor the pricing."
He added: "Mostafa Shakshak was loaned out for 3 months for a financial sum nearly equivalent to what Al Ahly offered for purchase, which was over 20 million pounds, and then we sold him for 75 million pounds."
He continued: "Al-Ahly does not discuss signing players with me. The last time Al-Ahly negotiated to sign a player was with Mostafa Shalaby, and the negotiations were conducted by Mahmoud El-Khatib, the president of Al-Ahly. Since then, it has been limited to intermediaries."
