Toreb: I Apologize to Al Ahly Fans, I am a Fighter and the Decision to Leave Will Not Come from Me
Danish coach Jes Thorup of Al Ahly spoke about the significant victory his team achieved against Enppi in the league.
Al Ahly defeated Enppi 3-0 this evening, Tuesday, in the sixth round of the title-deciding phase of the Egyptian Premier League.
At the press conference following the match, Torop said: "Congratulations to our great fans on winning for the second consecutive time with a 3-0 score. The fans cheered us on with great enthusiasm, and I dedicate this victory to them."
He added, "I hope this marks the beginning of a new period of continuous victories, and I know the fans have gone through a tough time due to the lack of wins, so I apologize to them."
Regarding Imam Ashour's injury, Torop said: "I spoke with the doctor and the player, and there was an impact on his knee. We will wait for the doctor's diagnosis."
He continued: "I agree that before the last two matches we weren't going through a good period, but why don't we ask about Hussein El Shahat and his consistent participation, not just about Ben Sharqi? I believe it's not the first time we've played the Moroccan as a striker; we did that against Esperance, but with a small mistake, we conceded a goal, which psychologically affected Ben Sharqi."
He concluded: "I will not be the person who runs away and gives up. I am happy to be with Al Ahly, and I am always a fighter. However, the decision for me to leave will not come from me; if it is made, it will be by someone else."
